The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two individuals, including an engineer from the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and a middleman, in a bribery case. The team apprehended both red-handed while exchanging a bribe amount of over 91 thousand rupees.
The CBI reported that during the searches, nearly 2.39 crore rupees in cash were recovered from the premises of the engineer. The investigative agency has registered a case against the engineer and four middlemen who are allegedly involved in corrupt practices to provide DPCC consent to firms.
