The CBI has filed an appeal before the Calcutta High Court, seeking a death sentence for Sanjay Roy, who has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Sealdah court in the RG Kar Medical College rape and murder case.
A sessions court in Kolkata’s Sealdah had sentenced prime accused Sanjoy Roy to life imprisonment on Monday.
