Must Read

In tennis, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz pulled off a remarkable comeback to defend his French Open title, defeating World No. 1 Jannik Sinner of Italy in a jaw-dropping five-set epic last night.

Down two sets and facing three championship points, reigning champion Alcaraz seemed on the brink of defeat. But the 22-year-old Spaniard roared back to claim a stunning 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6 victory in one of the most thrilling finals in Grand Slam history.

With this, Alcaraz not only claims his second Roland Garros crown but also secures his fifth Grand Slam title, remaining unbeaten in all five major finals. The victory also ends Sinner’s 20-match winning streak at the majors.Earlier, the second-seed Italian pair Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini won the Women’s Doubles crown. The pair defeated Kazakhstan’s Anna Danilina, paired with Serbia’s Aleksandra Krunic, 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 for the title in the final.
