
Buddha Purnima was celebrated with great enthusiasm and religious fervor across the state. At the Agartala Buddha Mandir, the day was observed with a special prayer meeting that drew a large gathering of devotees seeking Lord Buddha’s blessings.
Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu inaugurated the program, accompanied by Buddhist monks and other dignitaries. The event began with the chanting of traditional Buddhist hymns and prayers, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. Devotees offered flowers, incense sticks, and candles to the statue of Lord Buddha as a mark of respect and devotion.
In his address, the head monk of the Agartala Buddha Mandir highlighted the significance of Buddha Purnima, which commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and passing away of Lord Buddha. He emphasized the core teachings of Lord Buddha, stressing the importance of compassion, non-violence, and mindfulness in achieving inner peace and enlightenment.
