Both the Houses of Parliament have been adjourned till 2:00 PM amid sloganeering by the opposition members over various issues. When the Rajya Sabha met after the first adjournment at noon, the opposition members again started sloganeering over various issues, demanding a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll in Bihar. The Presiding Officer, Ghanshyam Tiwari, tried to run the Question Hour, but the proceedings were disrupted following the opposition uproar. As the pandemonium continued, the Chair adjourned the House till 2 PM.
Earlier, when the Rajya Sabha met at 11:00 AM, the House congratulated scientists for the successful launch of the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) satellite. Deputy Chairman Harivansh said that he has received 28 adjournment notices from different political parties relating to various issues, but the notices were rejected, citing the ruling. After that, the Deputy Chairman tried to take up Zero Hour, but the opposition started sloganeering, demanding the rollback of the Special Intensive Revision in Bihar. As the pandemonium continued, the Chair adjourned the House till noon.
Lok Sabha has also been adjourned till 2:00 PM amid sloganeering by the opposition members over various issues. When the Lok Sabha met at 11 AM, Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla congratulated the Space scientist for the successful launch of the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) satellite from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. Mr Birla tried to take up Question Hour, but the opposition members started sloganeering and trooped into the well, demanding a rollback of the Special Intensive Revision in Bihar and other issues. The Speaker expressed concern over their conduct, requesting them to go back to their seats and allow the House to function, but the opposition members continued with their protest, following which the House adjourned till 2:00 PM.
