BJYM and Kadamtala-Kurti Mandal organised a Tiranga Rally in Kadamtala ahead of Independence Day, bringing together BJP leaders, students, traders and residents to celebrate patriotism, national unity and the sacrifices of freedom fighters.

Ahead of the 80th Independence Day, the Kadamtala-Kurti Mandal and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) jointly organised a colourful Tiranga Rally in Kadamtala on Friday, bringing together people from different sections of society in a display of patriotism and national unity.

The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from BJP leaders and workers, school students, music students, traders, parents and local residents. Carrying the national flag and raising the spirit of patriotism, participants marched through the streets of Kadamtala as part of the Independence Day observance.

The procession began at the Kadamtala School ground and proceeded through the Kadamtala Block premises and Tri Junction before returning to the school ground, where the rally concluded. The presence of students and young participants added a vibrant character to the programme, while the national flags carried by the participants reflected the central theme of the event.

Dharmanagar MLA Jahar Chakraborty, Kadamtala-Kurti Mandal president Bimal Purkayastha, district president Kajal Das, Kadamtala-Kurti Mandal BJYM president Amitabh Nath, the district general secretary and other party functionaries attended the programme.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Jahar Chakraborty emphasised the principle of putting the nation above individual interests. He said the Independence Day celebrations were intended to strengthen patriotism and deepen the sense of love and responsibility towards the country among citizens.

Chakraborty also spoke about development initiatives being undertaken under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that India was progressing rapidly. He further highlighted the efforts of the Tripura government under Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, saying that the administration was working towards the vision of “Ek Tripura, Shreshtha Tripura.”

BJYM president Amitabha Nath said the Tiranga Rally was also an opportunity to remember the freedom fighters and martyrs who made sacrifices during India’s struggle for independence. He urged young people to draw inspiration from their dedication and contribute positively to the country’s future.

The rally served as a public expression of national pride ahead of Independence Day, with participants carrying the Tricolour and spreading messages of unity, patriotism and collective responsibility. The organisers also called upon the youth to play a constructive role in strengthening the nation and contributing to a stronger and more prosperous India.
