In view of the ensuing Lok Sabha elections the BJP in Tripura has made changes in the party hierarchy with effect from today ( Saturday).

BJP state unit president in an order has made new vice presidents -Dr . Ashok Sinha, Bimal Chakma  ,  Subal Bhowmik, Tapas Bhattacharjee, Papia Datta and Patal Kanya Jamatia.

There are three state general secretaries – Bhagaban Das (MLA), Amit Rakshit, Bipin Debbarma.

New state secretaries named are Tapas Majumdar, David Debbarma, Ratan Ghosh, Mousumi Das  , Bhumika Nanda Reang,  Ajanta Bhattacharjee.

Nagadhiraj Dutta and Mrinal Kanti Nath have been given charge as Treasurer/ Joint treasurer, while Mihir Sarkar has been made as Office secretary.

The ruling party has also made changes in its frontal organizations .

Former MLA Mimi Majumdar has been made Mahila Morcha president while Sushanta Deb , MLA has been given charge of Yva Morch as president. Anirban Das has been made SC Morcha president while former MLA Parimal Debbarma has become new Janajati Morcha head. Malina Debnath has been given charge of OBC Morcha and Pradip Baran Roy has been made president of Kisan Morcha. Billal Mia who recently joined BJP from Congress has been made Minority Morcha president.

Sources have said that some more changes are also on the card at Modal level. The ruling party wants make itself fully prepared for the Lok Sabha elections by causing changes at right from the booth level to make it more proactive an politically aggressive.
