BJP has launched a massive counter attack in digital world against the Trinamool Congress over the Khowai , Ambassa and Dharmanagar incidents.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb yesterday only fired the first salvo –with an oblique reference saying that a political conspiracy was being plotted to make Tripura situation uncertain and derail development activities. His Facebook post was then immediately followed by a barrage of Facebook, twitter etc firing from other leaders.
BJP’s national General Secretary (Organisation) B.L. Santhosh, used his twitter handle saying: “After attacking Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb’s convoy two days ago and engineering 100s of political killings of workers in West Bengal, AITC MPs have the audacity to protest besides Mahatma Gandhi’s statue. Go, do some soul searching and then protest.”
Former Governor of Tripura Tathagata Roy in his trademark language shot a series of tweets . In one he wrote :Trinamool busybodies are travelling en masse to Tripura (obviously at the expense of the people of West Bengal) just to make trouble and attract attention. They shd have been sent back from the airport. This is what Himanta Biswasarma did at Silchar airport. (sic).
In another he tweeted : neta how many tribes there are in Tripura or what are the principal cash crops they will stare open-mouthed. Most of them did not know the existence of Tripura. None visited the state during the insurgency days. But now they are suddenly overflowing with compassion. (sic).
While all these are happening the TMC on the other hand was trying to make the Tripura incident a national level issue with several programmes being planned.
