In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, urging citizens to hoist the tricolour from August 13 to August 15 as part of the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,” the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura has undertaken various initiatives across the state to mark the occasion.

Under the banner of the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,” a cleanliness drive was organized by Booth No. 28 under the BJP Banamalipur Mandal on Sunday. The State BJP president, Rajib Bhattacharjee, led the campaign by actively participating in the road-cleaning efforts along with other party leaders in the locality.

Addressing the press, Rajib Bhattacharjee explained, “As we celebrate 75 years of India’s Independence, the party has undertaken numerous programs such as cleanliness drives, tree planting, and the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative, all in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directives.” He highlighted that the celebration of Independence Day had already commenced throughout the state, with the initiatives aiming to instill patriotism and moral values in every citizen.

Further, Rajib Bhattacharjee took part in a bicycle rally organized by the 9 Banamalipur assembly constituency, symbolizing the BJP’s commitment to the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign.

Meanwhile, as part of the campaign, Dipak Majumder, the Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation, hoisted the national flag in Ward No. 16. Alongside local corporators and party leaders, he led a cleanliness drive in the area. The Mayor emphasized the significance of maintaining a clean environment on a regular basis, urging citizens not to limit cleanliness efforts to special occasions.

He encouraged residents across different wards of the Agartala Municipal Corporation to actively participate in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign by hoisting the tricolour at their homes, contributing to the success of the initiative in Tripura.

As the nation prepares to celebrate Independence Day, the BJP’s engagement in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign signifies its commitment to fostering a spirit of patriotism and unity among citizens while ensuring a clean and healthy environment.
