The National Youth Day celebrated in Dhaka, Bangladesh today to commemorate the Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. 

High commissioner of India to Bangladesh Pranay Verma inaugurated the event organised by Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, Dhaka in honour of Swami Vivekananda, whose birth anniversary falls on January 12. The photo exibition on the theme of “Swami ji in East Bengal” related to Swami ji memories in Bangladesh also thrown open for the people during the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion Pranay Verma said Swami Vivekananda, a spiritual genius and a stalwart of humanity, believed that the essence of youth lay in its potential to shape a brighter tomorrow. He said Vivekananda’s teachings emphasize the importance of self confidence, selfless service, and the pursuit of knowledge as vital elements in an individual’s journey towards personal and societal transformation.

The other speakers also highlighted the role of Swami Vivekananda in the enlightenment of youth towards the nationalism and national integration in thier speeches. 

On the occasion, artists from Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre gave performances of Ravindra Sangeet on message of Vivekananda to the youth.
