Benchmark domestic equity indices trade around 1.3% lower in afternoon session today

Benchmark domestic equity indices were trading around 1.3 per cent lower in afternoon trade today.
The Sensex plunged 1 thousand and 41 points to 74 thousand 975, while the Nifty shed 297 points to 23 thousand 519 when reports last came in. Weakness was observed across most sectors, with IT, Realty, and Banking dragging the most, while Oil and Gas bucked the trend.
