The Pfizer vaccine will be administered as the fourth dose.

Those who have taken the booster shot will be eligible for it.

Ahmedul Kabir, additional director general of health services, told the news portal: Selected people will be informed about the fourth dose through SMS a day before their vaccination. Those who receive the experimental vaccine will be kept under observation for two weeks.

Meanwhile, US Department of State tweeted: The U.S. donated an additional 6 million pediatric Pfizer vaccine doses to Bangladesh via #COVAX, with total U.S. vaccine doses donated to Bangladesh now reaching nearly 108 million.
