Punjab Police has busted a Babbar Khalsa International (BKI)-backed terror module by arresting three of its operatives with arms and ammunition in Jalandhar today. Their arrest has revealed the international linkage of the module, which was motivating the youth to carry out anti-national activities in the state.

Additional Inspector General of Police, Navjot Singh Mahal, disclosed that 4 pistols with cartridges had been recovered from their possession. The module was being handled by a USA-based gangster, Gurpreet Singh, who, in connivance with a Pakistan-based terrorist and a Greece-based associate, was instrumental in inspiring the youth to commit crimes in Punjab. This is the second incident in as many days in which BKI operatives have been arrested.

Yesterday, in a joint operation, Uttar Pradesh Police and Punjab Police arrested an active operative of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), Lajar Masih, an Amritsar resident, from Kaushambi in UP, along with explosives, arms, and ammunition.
