In the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025, defending champions Australia will take on New Zealand at Holkar Stadium in Indore this afternoon. Yesterday, in the opening match, India defeated Sri Lanka by 59 runs in a rain-affected match at Guwahati.
The tournament’s main round will be played in the round-robin format till 26th October, and the final will be played on the second of next month. The 2025 Women’s World Cup is the 13th edition of the 50-over cricket tournament featuring 8 teams – India, Sri Lanka, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Bangladesh and Pakistan. These teams will compete in 28 league matches in a round-robin format across four venues in India and one in Colombo. The much-anticipated match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan will be played on the 5th of next month in Colombo.
