In the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, Australia stormed into the final today after defeating the West Indies by eight wickets at The Oval in London. Batting first, the West Indies were restricted to 125 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Australia chased down the target in just 13 overs, losing only two wickets. The unbeaten Australians have now reached their eighth final in 10 editions of the tournament and will be aiming to win a record seventh Women’s T20 World Cup title. Australia will face either hosts England or South Africa in the final at Lord’s on Sunday. England and South Africa will meet in the second semi-final tomorrow at The Oval.
