Australia Women’s cricket team captain Alyssa Healy has announced her retirement from all forms of international cricket ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. The 35-year-old made the announcement on a podcast, citing mental fatigue and recurring injuries as key reasons behind her decision. Healy confirmed that the upcoming home series against India in February-March will be her final assignment in Australian colours.
She will skip the T20 Internationals to allow Australia to prepare for the World Cup, but will lead the team in the One-Day Internationals and play her final match in the one-off Test against India in Perth. One of the most successful players in women’s cricket, Alyssa Healy, is an eight-time World Cup winner and has been a mainstay of Australian dominance across formats.
