In tennis, India’s N. Sriram Balaji and his partner Andre Begemann of Germany have advanced to the men’s doubles final of the ATP Challenger tournament in Perugia, Italy.
The Indo-German duo will take on the top-seeded, Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela of Mexico and Guido Andreozzi of Argentina in the final, this evening.
Balaji and Begemann defeated the Italian pair of Francesco Maestrelli and Federico Cina, 6-3, 3-6, 10-6, in the semi-final yesterday.
Earlier, the All India Tennis Association confirmed on Thursday that Balaji will pair with the veteran Rohan Bopanna in the men’s doubles event at the upcoming Paris Olympics.
