At least 30 people were killed yesterday in a bus crash on a mountain road in Bolivia. The vehicle plunged 800-metre into a gorge in the southwestern district of Yocalla.
The accident occurred on a narrow two-way road between the cities of Potosi and Oruro. Bolivia has notoriously dangerous roads, particularly in mountainous areas.
According to the government data, road accidents kill an average of 1,400 people every year in the country.
