In Assam, campaigning has got momentum for the first phase of polls covering five Lok Sabha seats. Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Amit Shah will address rallies tomorrow at Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur and Sonitpur. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal are also addressing meetings.
Congress state President Bhupen Bora, national General Secretary Jitendra Singh and MP Gaurav Gogoi are trying to woo the voters. AAP leader is to address rallies at Dibrugarh today. Meanwhile, today is the last day of withdrawal of nomination papers for the second phase. Nomination of 65 candidates was found valid in this phase covering five seats.
