Most Asian stock market indices surged today. South Korea’s Kospi index soared over three and a half per cent, Japan’s Nikkei 225 index climbed more than two and a half per cent, Singapore’s Straits Times Index jumped one per cent, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rose 0.7 per cent. Conversely, China’s Shanghai Composite Index slipped over 0.7 per cent.
Major European indices were trading mixed today. France CAC 40 climbed 0.7 per cent, London’s FTSE 100 was trading more than 0.2 per cent up, while Germany’s DAX slipped over 0.2 per cent, when reports last came in.
