Most Asian stock market indices ended on a positive note. South Korea’s Kospi surged over 6.2 per cent, Taiwan’s Taiex climbed two per cent, Japan’s Nikkei 225 gained one and a half per cent, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rose 1.4 per cent, and Singapore’s Strait Times added nearly 1.2 per cent. In contrast, China’s Shanghai Composite dropped 0.3 per cent.Major European indices were trading on a negative today. Germany’s DAX declined 0.6 per cent, London’s FTSE 100 fell 0.1 per cent, while France’s CAC 40 slipped marginally, when reports last came in.
