Major Asian stocks ended mixed as investors assessed US President Donald Trump’s postponement of tariffs on European Union imports. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index declined over 1.3 per cent, Singapore’s Strait Times index dropped 0.18 percent and China’s Shanghai Composite index ended nearly unchanged. Conversely, South Korea’s Kospi Index closed over two percent up and Japan’s Nikkei added one per cent.Major European indices were trading in positive territory during intra-day trade. Germany’s DAX jumped almost 1.7 per cent, and France’s CAC 40 was trading over 1.1 per cent up, when reports last came in. Meanwhile, market in London was closed for a holiday.
