The 100th medal was won when Indian womens Kabaddi team defeated Chinese Taiepei to secure the gold medal.

India won 25 Gold, 35 Silver and 40 Bronze medals so far in this edition of the showpiece event, surpassing all previous records.

The medal table is dominated by China.

Indias neighbouring nation won 354 medals in total which include 187 gold.

So far, Indias best performance in the Asian Games was achieved in 2018 in Jakarta when the country clinched 70 medals in total.
