Most Asian stock market indices ended on a positive note today. China’s Shanghai Composite jumped over 1.1 per cent, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index as well as South Korea’s Kospi climbed one per cent, Singapore’s Strait Times index rose nearly 0.6 per cent, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 added half a per cent. In contrast, Taiwan’s Taiex dropped marginally.
Major European indices were trading with gains today. Germany’s DAX jumped over 1.7 per cent, France’s CAC 40 increased one per cent, and London’s FTSE 100 added 0.6 per cent, when reports last came in.
