Delhi Police has made extensive security arrangements in the national capital for the Republic Day celebrations. Around 14 thousand security personnel will be deployed in and around Kartavya Path where the Republic Parade will take place on the 26th of January. Addressing the media about the security arrangements on Republic Day, Special Commissioner of Police (Security) Dependra Pathak said that professional, robust, and flawless security arrangements have been put in place all around Delhi. He said, security, traffic, and district units are working together in coordination with the central security agencies for the Republic Day celebrations. He also said the Delhi Police is prepared professionally to avert any emergency.

Special Commissioner of Police (Traffic) HGS Dhaliwal said the border of Delhi will be sealed from 10 PM today and the entry of heavy vehicles will be restricted. Delhi Police has also set up missing persons booths, help desks, first-aid kiosks, and separate facilitation booths where visitors can deposit their vehicle keys.
