Indian squash player Anahat Singh has reached the final of the NSW Bega Open 2025 in Australia after a tough win over Egypt’s Nour Khafagy in the semifinals. The 17-year-old from Delhi won 3-2 in a 54-minute battle, with scores of 10-12, 11-5, 11-5, 10-12, 11-7. Despite an injury during the match, Anahat showed great determination to outlast Khafagy.
Anahat will now aim for her 13th PSA title in the final against Egypt’s Habiba Hani, who defeated India’s Akanksha Salunkhe 3-1 in her semifinal.
Earlier, Anahat defeated South Africa’s Hayley Ward 3-0 in the quarterfinals. With 12 PSA titles from 18 events, Anahat is quickly rising in the world of squash.
The NSW Bega Open is a USD 25,000 tournament and the first World Event of the 2025/26 PSA Tour season.
