Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has revealed a humorous yet clever trick he uses to ensure his wife, veteran actress and Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan, gets ready on time when the couple have to attend weddings and other social events. The revelation came during a recent episode of the popular quiz-based reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati, where Bachchan interacted with contestant Vijay Laxmi.
During the conversation, the contestant asked Amitabh Bachchan whether he has ever had to wait for his wife to get ready before leaving for a wedding or another function. “Aapko ek tarkeeb batata hoon. Kahin jana hota hai na toh uska ek samay nirdharit kiya jaata hain,” Amitabh Bachchan explained during the interaction. He then gave the example of attending a wedding where they needed to reach by 6 pm. According to the actor, he tells Jaya that the wedding procession, or baraat, is expected to arrive at 5 pm instead.
The strategy, he said, works because Jaya then begins getting ready much earlier. Bachchan revealed that she starts her preparations around 3:30 or 4 pm, allowing the couple to leave on time and reach their destination without being late.
