West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar reviewed extensive preparations for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s two-day Tripura visit. Shah will lay the foundation stone of the Taj Pushpavanta Palace project, hold key security meetings, inspect border arrangements, and visit Mata Tripura Sundari Temple amid heightened administrative coordination.

West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar has outlined the extensive preparations being undertaken ahead of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s two-day visit to Tripura, emphasizing that the district administration, security agencies, and various government departments are working in close coordination to ensure the successful execution of all scheduled programmes.

Speaking about the preparations, Dr. Kumar said that the Home Minister is scheduled to arrive in Agartala on the evening of June 4 and will stay overnight in the state capital before attending a series of important events and meetings on June 5.

One of the major highlights of Amit Shah’s visit will be the foundation stone laying ceremony of the upcoming five-star hotel, “Taj Pushpavanta Palace,” a prestigious project being developed by the Tata Group. The project is expected to significantly boost tourism infrastructure in Tripura and strengthen the state’s hospitality sector. The ceremony will take place at the historic Pushpavanta Palace grounds in Agartala and is being viewed as a landmark development initiative for the state.

Apart from attending the foundation stone ceremony, the Union Home Minister is also scheduled to hold a high-level review meeting with senior officials of the state administration, central security agencies, and other concerned departments. The meeting will focus on crucial issues including border security management, internal security, law-and-order preparedness, and coordination among various enforcement agencies operating in the state.

Dr. Kumar informed that Shah’s itinerary further includes a visit to areas within West Tripura district where he is expected to review border security arrangements and interact with officials responsible for safeguarding the international border. The Home Minister may also engage directly with Border Security Force personnel to assess operational preparedness and ongoing security measures.

Adding a cultural and spiritual dimension to the visit, Amit Shah is also scheduled to offer prayers at the revered Mata Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the most significant religious sites in the region and a major center of faith for devotees across the country.

Highlighting the scale of the preparations, Dr. Vishal Kumar stated that comprehensive arrangements have already been put in place. He noted that all departments are functioning in close coordination to ensure smooth movement, security management, and seamless execution of every event associated with the Home Minister’s visit.
