Union Home Minister Amit Shah will introduce the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2025, in the Lok Sabha today to further amend the existing Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019. During the session, Mr Shah is also expected to move the Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill, 2025, and the Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 2025. Meanwhile, Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will introduce the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, in the lower house of the parliament.
The Bill will be moved to promote and regulate the online gaming sector. The Bill is also stated to protect individuals, especially youth and vulnerable populations, from the adverse social, economic, psychological and privacy-related impacts of such games.
