Amit Shah re-emphasizes on infra growth, peace in North East

Home minister Amit Shah today re-emphasised that growth of infrastructure and peace in North Eastern states is the top most priority of the Union government. Speaking at the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on empowering North East India, Mr Shah said, Prime minister Narendra Modi has visited over 50 times to North Eastern states after 2014. He said, North Eastern states will prosper with the three Es, i.e.  Empathy, Empowerment and Enable.
The Home minister said, political stability and peace have been established in North East and all state govt in the region have completed their respective five year terms. He said, elections in the region have also been conducted peacefully. all capital cities of northeastern states have air connectivity and a new airport is coming up at Itanagar.  He said, the time has come to invest in the North East region, give a boost to development there and empower the region.  Shah said the Narendra Modi government has focused on the northeast region since it came to power and today, the region is ready to play the role of contributor in the development of the country.
 Shah said,  government is promoting organic food business in the NE states. He expressed hope that North East will be a big hub for organic food business in near future. Mr Shah said in the next one or two years Bangladesh will be connected with rail and road route to NE states, which will boost trade. He called upon the ICC to open a new chapter for the North East.
