In a move aimed at enhancing the city’s infrastructure and providing convenience to the public, the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) launched two Mobile Toilet Vans on Friday. The event was attended by Mayor Dipak Majumder, Deputy Mayor Manika Das Dutta, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Sailesh Kumar Yadav, and other officials.
Mayor Dipak Majumder, addressing the reporters, highlighted the city’s efforts to modernize its facilities, with the Mobile Toilet Van being a significant addition. He explained that each van is equipped to cater to the needs of up to four individuals at a time, ensuring the provision of hygienic facilities even in urgent situations.
Furthermore, Majumder stated that these mobile toilets will be strategically placed at various programs and events, making them accessible to the public when necessary. This initiative aims to address the need for proper sanitation facilities, particularly in crowded areas or during events where public restrooms may be limited.
In addition to their use during city events, the Agartala Municipal Corporation will also make the Mobile Toilet Vans available for rent on other occasions and programs. This will enable organizers to ensure adequate sanitation facilities at their events, promoting a cleaner and more comfortable environment for attendees.
The introduction of these Mobile Toilet Vans reflects the AMC’s commitment to improving public amenities and promoting a modern and hygienic city infrastructure. The initiative is expected to benefit residents and visitors alike by providing convenient access to clean and well-maintained sanitation facilities, ultimately contributing to the overall development and well-being of Agartala.
As the Mobile Toilet Vans become operational, the AMC hopes that their presence will positively impact the community and further enhance the city’s reputation for providing quality public services.
