The Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) has officially announced the 3rd Annual Sharad Samman competition. The announcement was made during a press conference on Monday at the Ward No. 39 community hall, attended by Mayor Dipak Majumder and Ward Councillor Alok Roy.
The competition will feature awards across multiple categories, including best mandap decoration, best idol, best puja on a budget, and best environmental awareness campaign. Additional categories include best organized puja, commitment to year-round social work, and best souvenir. A special award will be presented for promoting traditional Bengali culture, along with a “best of the best” prize.
All registered clubs, organizations, and puja committees in the southern city area are invited to participate. Applications can be collected and submitted at the Ward No. 39 office from September 2 to October 2, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
