New York/IBNS: Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt made a stunning debut at the prestigious fashion event Met Gala in the USA, looking elegant in her pristine white corseted couture ball gown created by Indian designer Prabal Gurung.
The actor, who just won the Filmfare award for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi, thus made her much anticipated appearance at the fashion event in her pearl-studded ball gown.

This years theme is Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty inspired by the works of the late iconic German designer who was the guiding light of Chanel, the French luxury fashion house.
I wanted to do something that felt authentic (hello, pearls!) and proudly made in India. The embroidery, made with a 100,000 pearls is a labour of love by @prabalgurung. Im so proud to wear you for my first Met. A girl can never have too many pearls and the right accessories to complement the look which in our case translated to the bow of pearls on my hair.
