In Mizoram, staff and employees of Akashvani Aizawl today planted trees at the All India Radio transmitter site as part of the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam—’Plant  for Mother’ campaign.
All India Radio Director and Cluster Head D. R. Lalropuia participated in the Central Government’s Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign by planting saplings at the transmitter station of All India Radio Aizawl. The campaign was held under the Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) programme.

The director expressed optimism about the campaign’s success, emphasising its potential to change public attitudes towards environmental pollution. He conveyed the hope that the initiative would inspire a deeper commitment to environmental conservation.

Several other officials of Akashvani Aizawl also planted trees at the transmission site of All India Radio Aizawl.
The Plant for Mother campaign is carried out across the country, and many saplings have been planted across the state in various places.

The Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on World Environment Day.
The Mission LIFE programme aims to raise awareness about environmental preservation and promote lifestyle changes that reduce ecological impact.
