Ahsaas Channa recalls feeling intimidated and nervous while meeting Shah Rukh Khan as a six-year-old on the sets of Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. She also shares memories of being pampered on set, receiving applause from SRK, and her journey from child artiste to a successful digital entertainment actor.

Actor Ahsaas Channa has revisited one of the most memorable experiences of her childhood career, recalling her first meeting with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (KANK). Speaking about her experience as a six-year-old child artiste, Ahsaas admitted that she was “very intimidated and nervous” when she first came face-to-face with the superstar.

Ahsaas opened up about her early days in the entertainment industry during the latest episode of actor, writer and comedian Gopal Dutt’s weekly show Pehla Pehla. The actor reflected on her journey from working as a child artiste alongside some of Bollywood’s biggest stars to eventually establishing herself in the digital entertainment space.

Recalling her experience on the sets of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Ahsaas said meeting Shah Rukh Khan was particularly overwhelming for her at such a young age. She remembered making a handwritten card for the superstar before their first meeting.

The actor was only six years old when she became part of the 2006 film, which featured Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan in key roles. For a young performer entering a major Bollywood production, the scale of the project and the presence of established stars naturally made the experience intimidating.

However, Ahsaas said her nervousness soon gave way to comfort as the cast and crew treated her warmly throughout the shoot. She recalled being pampered by everyone on the set and described the overall experience as a happy and memorable one.

One particular moment that remains special for her was receiving applause after completing a shot. According to Ahsaas, Shah Rukh Khan himself initiated the applause, making the moment especially meaningful for the young actor.

Despite having worked with Shah Rukh Khan during her childhood, Ahsaas revealed that she has not had an opportunity to meet the superstar again since the film. She also expressed her strong desire to share the screen with him once more.

Ahsaas said she “really, really” wants to work with Shah Rukh Khan again, highlighting how memorable her experience with the actor was during her childhood.

During the conversation, Ahsaas also spoke about how her career took an unexpected direction after she decided to take a break from acting around her Class 10 board examinations. At that stage, she had planned to return to the industry and explore opportunities in films. However, the rapid growth of digital entertainment changed those plans.

She explained that she had never imagined that digital entertainment would become such an important part of her career. Instead, the transition happened naturally, eventually opening new opportunities for her as an actor.
