
Agartala Press Club and Peerless Hospital of Kolkata on Saturday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide healthcare support to journalists and their families of Tripura. The MoU was signed during an awareness camp on cancer disease organised jointly by Agartala Press Club and B.K.Roy research centre on behalf of Peerless Hospital.
Peerless Hospital Deputy Managing Director Ravindra Pai and Peerless Hospital Assistant General Manager (Marketing) Anoop Bhakta signed the MoU on behalf of the hospital, while Agartala Press Club president Jayanta Bhattacharya and Secretary Ramakanta De signed the MoU on behalf of Journalists.
According to the MoU, journalists and their family members will be entitled to a generous 10 percent discount on treatment at Peerless Hospital. Additionally, a substantial 15 percent discount will be extended on tests and a 10 percent discount will be applicable on over-the-counter drug purchases at Peerless Hospitals.
Further, this collaboration includes provision of free transport for patients from Kolkata Airport to Peerless Hospital, facilitated by a fully equipped ambulance service.
Moreover, medical packages will be made more accessible with a 10 percent discount for those covered under this agreement.
Peerless Hospital’s commitment is to help secure discounted accommodation in hotels or rest houses for those who inform the hospital in advance.
Dr. Shoubnik Shatapati, Dr. Abhishek Dutta and Dr. Pragati Singhal, prominent oncologists from Peerless Hospital delivered their speeches at the awareness programme.
After an informative discussion, these oncologists generously provide free consultation as per the patients’ needs. A total of 67 journalists and photojournalists actively participated in this cancer awareness camp.
