Sesh, known for his meticulous approach to storytelling and character-building, spoke candidly about his experience working with Kashyap. Recalling their first meeting, Sesh described it as both surprising and refreshing. “He constantly surprised me from the very first moment when I met him at his house,” Sesh said. “We were discussing the story for the first narration after I pitched it to him, and he was so unfiltered and honest.”
According to Sesh, Kashyap’s authenticity stood out in an industry often driven by diplomacy and carefully curated responses. “You don’t often see people with that level of honesty. There’s always some degree of polishing in how people communicate. But he didn’t have that, and it was incredibly refreshing,” he added. “It’s fascinating that he never crossed the line into directing us,” Sesh explained. “Only after about 90% of the film was completed did he approach me and say, ‘If you’ll give me permission, I just want to suggest something for one scene.’”
What followed, according to Sesh, was nothing short of transformative. “That one hour was a masterclass for me. It was extraordinary to witness his depth of understanding and craft,” he said, underlining Kashyap’s subtle yet powerful influence.
