Aamir Khan’s reported casting in Race 4 remains unconfirmed as producer Ramesh Taurani clarifies that the film’s cast has not yet been finalized. The makers have urged media and social media users to avoid speculation and wait for an official announcement.
Speculation surrounding the casting of the highly anticipated Race 4 has intensified in recent weeks, with reports claiming that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan could headline the upcoming installment of the popular action-thriller franchise. However, producer Ramesh Taurani has now clarified that no actor has been officially finalized for the fourth film.
Taurani took to Instagram on Monday to address the reports and urged the media, entertainment portals and social media pages to refrain from circulating unverified information about the cast of Race 4. According to the producer, the makers are still working on the casting process and will make an official announcement once the lineup is finalized.
In an official statement, the makers said that the cast of Race 4 “has not yet been finalized” and requested people to avoid speculation regarding the actors who may feature in the film. The statement also emphasized that any confirmed casting details would be announced directly by the production team.
The makers further captioned the post, “The #Race4 cast is yet to be finalised stay tuned for the official announcement,” reiterating that audiences should wait for an official confirmation before believing or sharing reports about the upcoming film.
The clarification comes amid considerable speculation over the actors being considered for Race 4. Aamir Khan’s name recently emerged as one of the biggest talking points, with reports suggesting that the actor could take on the lead role in the next chapter of the franchise. However, Taurani’s latest statement makes it clear that there is currently no official confirmation regarding Aamir’s involvement.
The casting of other prominent Bollywood actors has also generated headlines in the past. In January, reports claimed that Akshaye Khanna, who appeared in the original Race, could return for the fourth installment. Taurani subsequently dismissed those reports, stating that the production team had not approached the actor. He also indicated that Akshaye Khanna’s character arc in the franchise had already reached its conclusion.
Meanwhile, reports have also suggested that actors Sidharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff were approached or narrated the script for Race 4. Despite the speculation, neither actor has been officially confirmed for the project.
The Race franchise began in 2008 with Abbas-Mustan’s Race, which featured Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Anil Kapoor in prominent roles. The film combined action, suspense, betrayal and unexpected twists, becoming a notable success and establishing the franchise in Bollywood.
Race 2 followed in 2013, again featuring Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor, alongside Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel. The third installment, Race 3, arrived in 2018 with Salman Khan in the lead, along with Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem.

However, the latest clarification from Ramesh Taurani indicates that the makers are keeping the casting details under wraps for now. Until an official announcement is made, reports linking Aamir Khan or other major Bollywood stars to the project remain unconfirmed.
For now, fans of the franchise will have to wait for the production team to officially reveal the cast and provide further details about the much-awaited fourth installment of Race.
