Today marks the initiation of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Tripura, aligned with the nationwide launch by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Jharkhand. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced the launch, emphasizing its mission to extend the reach of government schemes to previously underserved communities.
In sync with the nationwide launch, the state-level inauguration is scheduled at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala. Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, anchored in PM Modi’s people-centric initiatives, aims to bridge gaps for those yet to benefit from various schemes.
To ensure effective implementation, special committees at state and district levels, headed by Chief Secretary and District Magistrates, have been formed. Seven IAS officers are appointed for monitoring and ensuring the initiative’s success across different districts.
In parallel, Janjatiya Gaurav Divas will be observed, commemorating the 148th birth anniversary of Bhagaban Birsa Munda. Three key programs, including Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, will be launched, with a focus on community engagement.
As part of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, vehicles will be flagged off from Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala and Ambassa in Dhalai district to raise awareness about government schemes in ADC areas and Gram Panchayats. The three-day event at Swami Vivekananda ground will host various programs to celebrate Janjatiya Gaurav Divas.
Eight ministers have been assigned specific districts for the successful implementation of Proti Ghore Sushasan 2.0 and Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The launch signifies a significant step towards ensuring the inclusive development envisioned by the Prime Minister, bringing government schemes closer to the grassroots in Tripura.
