BJP ‘s Tripura unit condemned the statements of two of its MLAs – Sudip Roy Barman and Ashish Saha that were made on Tuesday morning saying that it would give the opposition parties the last moment boost.
“ But people of the State are well aware of the two MLAs and they would be influenced by such utterings”, said State BJP spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty.
Without naming the MLAs, Chakraborty said, “It is unfortunate that the two MLAs made statements against the Party and the government – the statements attempted to provide a boost to the Kolkata-based party which became frustrated after getting zero response. The kind of reactions that leaders of the party from Kolkata issued clearly shows the purpose of the statements of the MLAs”.
He continued and said, the two veteran MLAs claimed them as responsible Karyakartas – however, BJP expects that all the karyakartas – from the grassroots to the top level – to work for the party with responsibility and accountability. He lamented that the statements made by the two MLAs are contrary to the expectations of the BJP.
He urged people not to be misguided at the statements.
