In the remote village of Neel, located in Jammu and Kashmirs Ramban district, Arifs passion for wrestling was ignited by the legendary wrestler The Great Khali. Enrolling in Khalis Wrestling Academy in Jalandhar, Arifs dedication and hard work caught the attention of his trainers, earning him the moniker Badshah Khan bestowed by Khali himself.

Now counted among Indias top five professional wrestlers, Arifs success rate of 85 percent in over 300 matches has made him an inspiration for aspiring athletes in the region.

Despite facing numerous challenges along the way, Arif participated in small wrestling competitions, gradually building his confidence and honing his skills alongside professional wrestlers. Leveraging social media, his wrestling videos went viral, amassing a substantial following.

Arif, who considers the ring as his kingdom, aims to represent India and Kashmir worldwide. Maintaining his wrestling prowess requires a rigorous training schedule of six hours of workouts and four hours of wrestling each day.

His ultimate goal is to compete in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and become the world champion.

In pursuit of his dreams, Arif hopes for financial support from the Jammu and Kashmir government to further his sporting endeavors. He emphasizes the importance of sports in leading a healthy lifestyle and has been actively urging the youth to stay away from drugs.
