In a public rally held in Santir Bazar, Tripura, BJP President J.P. Nadda emphasized the accomplishments of the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing a large gathering, Nadda stated that the government successfully put an end to non-governance, corruption, and non-performance, while initiating a focus on ‘Seva’ (service), ‘Sushashon’ (good governance), and ‘Garib Kalyan’ (welfare of the poor).

Nadda, in his impassioned speech, compared the ideologies of the Congress party and the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M). According to him, Congress symbolized corruption, commission, non-governance, policy paralysis, family rule, and the failure of law and order. On the other hand, he claimed that CPI-M represented the misappropriation of government funds, lawlessness, political suppression, and nepotism.

The BJP President underscored the importance of the Modi government’s commitment to transparency and efficiency. Nadda highlighted that since assuming power in 2014, the government has directly transferred a staggering amount of Rs 22,40,000 crore to the accounts of beneficiaries, preventing funds from being siphoned off.

Nadda further enumerated the government’s achievements, stating that over 37,000 km of railway lines have been electrified, and an impressive 74 new airports have been constructed. He also emphasized the significant progress made in the northeastern region, with the construction of seven additional airports, thereby raising the total number of operational airports to 17. Additionally, he mentioned the extensive road network development and ongoing projects in the region.

Highlighting the government’s focus on border security, Nadda shared that 13,125 km of border roads have been built, ensuring the protection of India’s international boundaries. He emphasized that the government has allocated a substantial Rs 18 lakh crore for infrastructure development between 2014 and 2022.

Nadda also pointed out India’s relatively low inflation rate compared to developed countries such as the US, UK, Australia, and Italy. With India’s inflation standing at 4.2 percent, Nadda highlighted the favorable comparison to 4.9 percent in the US and 8.7 percent in the UK.

Encouraging the attendees, the BJP President urged the people to support and strengthen the leadership of Prime Minister Modi for the future development of India.

Before the rally, Nadda engaged in the ‘Sampark Se Samarthan’ campaign, meeting with singer Tithi Debbarman and gymnastics coach Bishweshwar Nandi in Agartala. During these interactions, Nadda shared details of the Modi government’s numerous milestones and significant achievements over the past nine years.

The public rally in Tripura was part of the BJP’s month-long campaign to showcase the achievements of the Modi government during its nine years in power.
