
Agartala Government Dental College, the first dental college in Agartala, is set to start its classes from the upcoming academic year, as announced by Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha. The Chief Minister made this announcement upon his visit to the dental college, following his return from Delhi.
Expressing his gratitude, Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Saha acknowledged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s role in inaugurating the Dental College. He further highlighted that both the Government of India and the Dental Council of India have granted permission to commence the classes.
During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected the college facilities and assured that necessary measures would be taken to address any initial challenges in starting the classes. He emphasized that the health secretary and other officials were accompanying him to promptly resolve any issues that may arise.
Prof. Dr. Saha also mentioned that while a few pending tasks remain, he has directed the authorities to expedite their completion. With the optimistic outlook, he stated that classes would be initiated starting from this academic year. The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction with the condition of the hostels and expressed hope that everything would be ready by August.
The Agartala Government Dental College, in anticipation of the successful commencement of classes, looks forward to ushering in a new era of dental education in the region. With the Chief Minister’s assurance and the dedicated efforts of the involved officials, the college is poised to offer quality dental education to aspiring students in Tripura.
