NEDFi sanctions Rs 977.42 crore for 34,327 projects in FY26, expanding its loan outstanding to Rs 2,269 crore. With net profit reaching Rs 92.23 crore, the corporation continues accelerating MSME growth and startup funding across the North East.
North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Limited (NEDFi) sanctioned Rs 977.42 crore for 34,327 projects during 2025–26, according to a press release issued by the corporation on Tuesday.
The amount was higher than the Rs 882.98 crore sanctioned in the previous financial year. NEDFi’s cumulative sanctions have now reached Rs 10,091.80 crore.
The corporation recorded a gross income of Rs 270.82 crore during the year, up 4.40 percent from the previous year. Interest income rose 9.73 percent to Rs 214.94 crore. Profit before tax stood at Rs 127.77 crore, while net profit was Rs 92.23 crore.
According to the release, NEDFi’s loan outstanding increased to Rs 2,269.05 crore from Rs 2,019.50 crore. Gross NPAs declined to 1.71 percent from 1.88 percent.
The Board recommended a 7 percent dividend for FY26.
The North East Venture Fund has supported 70 startups, while two other funds committed more than Rs 33 crore to ventures in the region.
The corporation said its CSR programmes supported 1,291 beneficiaries during the year. Its marketing initiatives also benefited 4,525 artisans through exhibitions, trade fairs and sales events.

NEDFi said it will focus on expanding credit access in underserved areas and supporting MSMEs and first-generation entrepreneurs.
