Agartala’s Ward No. 25 hosted Angan Milan Seva to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, with MP Biplab Kumar Deb joining Anganwadi children and community members. The initiative under the MP’s fund promotes social service through Anganwadi centres across Tripura.
Agartala witnessed a vibrant celebration on Sunday as Ward No. 25 hosted the Angan Milan Seva programme to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Organised under the aegis of the Member of Parliament’s fund, the initiative brought together Anganwadi children, community members and dignitaries, combining celebration with a message of social service.
The programme was inaugurated in the presence of former Tripura Chief Minister and current Member of Parliament Biplab Kumar Deb, who joined the Anganwadi children and local community members during the event. The gathering created a cheerful atmosphere, with children participating in the celebration and guests spending time with them.
The Angan Milan Seva initiative is being extended to Anganwadi centres across Tripura as part of a broader effort to take welfare-oriented activities to the grassroots. The programme seeks to connect community celebrations with the wider spirit of public service and social responsibility.
Speaking at the event, Biplab Kumar Deb said the initiative is part of the Seva Sankalp campaign, which began on September 17 and will continue until October 17. According to Deb, the campaign has been planned to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday as well as 25 years of his leadership in public life.
As part of the campaign, Anganwadi centres across the state are organising Angan Milan Seva programmes. These gatherings are intended to spread the message of service while creating opportunities for children and communities to participate in meaningful activities together.
Deb highlighted that the programme goes beyond simply celebrating the Prime Minister’s birthday with children. He said the initiative seeks to carry the message of seva, or service, to different sections of society and encourage greater community participation in welfare-oriented activities.
The launch of Angan Milan Seva in Ward No. 25 was presented as an effort to strengthen the reach of such initiatives at the grassroots level. Anganwadi centres, which play an important role in community-based child and family services, provide a platform for connecting local communities with welfare and development initiatives.
The event also reflected the dual objective of celebration and social responsibility. While the Anganwadi children enjoyed a festive gathering, the participation of community members and public representatives highlighted the importance of collective involvement in social service.
