The state government has taken several steps to boost the Tourism sector of the state, Chief Minister Biplam Kumar Deb has said on Sunday.
Deb has inaugurated the state-level World Tourism Day programme atRabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in presence of Tourism minister Pranajit Singha Roy.
Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister has said, “the state government has taken initiatives to develop the tourism sector by utilizing the natural beauty in innovative and unique ways.”
According to the Chief Minister, the government has development plans for all the tourist locations for attracting more tourists. He has also stressed on promotion of the tourist spots.
The Tourism minister has said the government has already taken steps to introduce some unique facilities like adventure tourism, paragliding and para-mounting. Besides, the government has initiated various works for infrastructure development in the tourist locations with a focus on modernization.
