Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today discussed opportunities to further deepen the India – Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) partnership. The Finance Minister met the President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Zou Jiayi, in New Delhi. In a social media post, the Finance Ministry said discussions were held on supporting India’s infrastructure and transport connectivity priorities, enhancing local-currency financing, increasing private-sector participation and the global presence of AIIB.
