India’s coal production has witnessed a growth of 7.51 percent in July 2026, compared to the same period last year. The Ministry of Coal informed that the overall coal production in the country during July this year has reached 69.75 million tonnes as per provisional data. It added that the coal dispatch during the last month showed a growth of 17.34 percent year on year in July. The cumulative coal production up to July, in financial year 2026-27 stood at 302.24 million tonnes (Provisional), while the cumulative coal dispatch reached 354.70 million tonnes (Provisional), registering a growth of 5.87 percent over the same period of last Financial Year.
