Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh-based entrepreneur Rita Tage has established herself as a major name in the wine industry by creating her brand Naara Aaba Kiwi Wines.

She has now inspired women in the region with her entrepreneurial journey.

Born and brought up in a small village in Arunachal Pradesh, Rita was always keen to do something different, NE Weekly.

It was during her college days that she had developed her love for wine.

Fighting all odds, especially in a place like Arunachal Pradesh where there was no proper wine-making facility, Rita was fascinated by the various flavours and textures of wine and wanted to explore more about it.

Rita created her first batch of wine, using Kiwi, after working hard to make it for several months.

She decided to launch her brand, Naara Aaba kiwi wines, in honour of her late grandfather, who had always encouraged her to pursue her dreams, reports NE weekly.

Ritas company has now emerged as a major startup business in the region where several people have been employed.

On Womens Day 2022, Arunachals Tage Rita was awarded the Nari Shakti Puraskar for excellence in promoting womens entrepreneurship. The award was presented by President Ram Nath Kovind, reports the news portal.
