Digital India BHASHINI organises AI workshop for Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat officials

The Digital India BHASHINI Division under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology today conducted a Multilingual AI Workshop for officials of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat to promote language-first legislative governance. The workshop showcased AI-powered language technologies aimed at making legislative processes more inclusive, accessible and citizen-centric.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said, the workshop brought together Members of the Legislative Assembly, Assembly Secretariat officials and other stakeholders to explore how multilingual Artificial Intelligence can improve legislative workflows, enhance access to legislative information and enable seamless communication across languages.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the Digital India BHASHINI Division, Amitabh Nag, said BHASHINI aims to build a language-first Digital Public Infrastructure where every citizen can access digital public services in the language they understand the best. He said multilingual AI can help legislative institutions improve efficiency through real-time transcription, translation, multilingual publication and better citizen engagement.
The Ministry said the workshop marks another step towards expanding the adoption of AI-powered language technologies across public institutions and strengthening multilingual, transparent and citizen-centric governance.
